I am a dancer at Walt Disney World in the Festival of the Lion King show, performed daily at Animal Kingdom. I just watched "Every Little Step", (I know, it came out a couple years ago, I'm a little late, lol) and I just wanted to tell you that your audition for "A Chorus LIne" was absolutely brilliant!! The delivery of Pauls monologue, brought me to tears and I was so happy that you were chosen to be a part of the revival cast! Cheers to you and all you do!! Thank you for your time! ~Michael

08.07.10
Hey Jason

I've been watching your audition for Every Little Step half a dozen times, and it never fails to move me to tears. Awesome performance! You are a rare combination of raw talent - acting, singing and dancing - you are terrific - love watching you on One Life to Live - keep up the good work

Cheers

I have been a fan of OLTL for yrs. Very sad to see MARKKO go. Will he return??? Curious and trying to find something on where Jason is going next. Nothing found online....very curious about what's next for him. I wanted a reunion between him and Langston very badly. SHOCKED he is leaving. His last scene made me cry!. Please respond. interested!!!

07.10.10
Thought you came off great in Chrous Line doc.--a bit too camera shy maybe. Why aren't you doing more film? The camera loves you. At leastt he one used in that doc did,

07.07.10
Hi. Markko is a wonderful character. I have been missing his scnes lately though. Are you leaving the show for good? I heard Markko is going to Ucla or something like that. I hope Markko can still stick around, will he? Thank you.
danielle

Recently saw "Every Little Step." You are an amazingly gifted actor. Please take some risks and do some live theatre and/or performance. Denver is a great theatre town with some wonderful venues. You would be very welcome here.

06.28.10

I saw the original Chorus Line on Broadway. Got the Netflix video of the audition process. My husband and I thought you were incredible! As the documentary showed the people at the table crying watching your fabulous audition, WE were crying too. Congratulations on a great career. You are amazing. As a music teacher , I always encourage my students to be whatever they can be! All the best. Beth

05.28.10

05.02.10
Just wanted to give you kudos on what a great audition I saw you give in "Every Little Step". Have watched OLTL for years and never would I ever think that the Marco character was the same guy in "Step". They really need to step up the writing for you. Looking forward to watching the OLTL musical later this month. No need to e-mail back am a grandmother who thinks you have great things ahead and wanted to let you know. Here's hoping you get that great role so your talent can be rocognized.

03.22.10
Jason,
Just wanted to take a moment to say how affected by you I was in Every Little Step-even the second time. You really are so moving. Hope you are very well and your career is progressing beautifully.
Stephen

03.21.10
Hello, I just wanted to say that you are pretty much my inspiration ! haha! I saw you in Every Little Step in my musical theater class, and you are ASTONISHING! Really great job! But I wanted to ask how was it working on A Chorus Line? because we are doing it in my class.

03.16.10
I saw Sammy Williams as Paul in original Chorus Line -- and McDechnie and Cilento and Walsh and Lupone (what a cast!). Then saw a half-dozen others as years went on. Even saw Chorus Line close at the Schubert. Then last night I saw your Paul audition in the documentary on cable. Wow! If you had been around at the time you probably would have been the original Paul. Powerful, powerful. Regret I didn't see revival in person. Bravo!

03.14.10
Aloha from O'ahu! Just saw you in Every Little Step and you were amazing! WIsh I had seen you play Paul live.

02.27.10
Jason,
I watched " Every Little Step" today. I was so touched by your audition.
Thank you,
Geoff

02.27.10
I just saw your audition for A chorus Line on the Documentary "Every Little Step" I am an Actor also and CL is my FAVORITE and Paul is one of my Favs. When I was your age I used to use that Monologue a lot. I did not see the revival but NEVER saw anybody do Pauls monologue the way you did!!! GREAT JOB!! You are also doing an OUTSTANDING job with Marko. I hope to get to work with you soon. Keep up the Good work!!

02.11.10
Jason, I just wanted to tell you that I saw "Every Little Step," and you blew me away. I'm going to school right now for acting, and in that 2 minute monologue, you kind of awoke my senses. So I thank you for reestablishing my faith in personalization and the craft as a hwole. Nice work!

01.27.10
Jason,

I have always thought you were amazing as Markko on OLTL, but I just watched a portion of your audition for Chours Line. You were fantastic. Chours Line is one of my favoriite show and I have seen it hundreds of time, but I wish I would of had the chance to see you play Paul. Congratulations!! I look forward to watching your star rise.

01.20.10
all warrmth & support for you.

01.08.10
Jason, I am an Opera Singer and based out of Atlanta GA. (29) Last night it accually snowed, so I went to Blockbuster to rent a movie and happened to spy "Every Single Step". I am not a musical theatre fan persay, but I am an artist and understand struggle...anyway, not to get long winded, but I have to say after I saw your short audition as Paul, and then after crying twice, ...because I had to watch it again...., I wanted to look you up and tell you how wonderful you were and how it touched me. Here is to your future, it would be a shame for the world not to see more of your talent. Thanks Again. Gerald B. Yarbray

01.06.10
Hi, Jason
I just wanted to write to you and tell you that I loved your scenes for the New Year's Eve episode with you, Langston, and Ford. You were so cute when you were jealous. I wish I had someone to be jealous of me.

Hi Jason! I was told to go see Every Little Step by one of my friends who said that you were one of the best things about it and he was so right. I'm an aspiring actor and your audition took my breath away as probably one of the most inspiring moments I've seen in any film. You really set the benchmark - everyone cried! To me your performance captured what I really love about acting - it's impact and it's magic. I hope you become a massive star because you completely deserve it :) :)

11.10.09
Jason I just finished watching your audition scene in the movie "Every Little Step" and it was extraordinary. It made me weep. You are so exceptional. I am now kicking myself in the ass because I did not get a chance to see you in the revival of A CHORUS LINE!

Best Wishes,
Derric Ward

Hey Jason,

I just saw your clip on Facebook from "Every Little Step" and that was unreal!!! While I was watching that clip, I remebered when I saw you and the rest of the cast in San Francisco it was easily one of my summer favourites. I just want to wish you the best of luck, and hope that your Clueless workshops are going well. I always told my friends that Clueless was gonna be a musical one day.

Stay brillant,
Nic

09.25.09
Your portrayal of Markko on "One Life to Live" is terrific. Keep up the good work.

08.01.09
Just saw "Every Little Step" and was very moved by your monolog as Paul. I started tearing up and was very moved.
I wish you were back on Broadway as I would certainly come see you. You would be great in anything you do as you are a great actor and I am glad to have seen you in this movie.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hi Jason,
I just saw "Every Little Step". Just wanted to comment, the section featuring you was UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! Seriously. Just like the casting people, I was sitting there with tears streaming down my face from your audition monologue. Congratulations. "A Chorus Line" has been my favorite musical since 1981 for various reasons, and just from your audition segment in the film, that was hands down the BEST performance of Paul I'd ever seen. Hope life is great, enjoy your summer!
Chris Hermening

07.13.09
Hi Jason, I have just seen the movie 'Every Little Step'. Wow. Your monologue as Paul - soooooo believable...............sooooooooooooooooo on the money. Wow.
Thank you.
Cheers, Liz (Melbourne, Australia).

07.09.09
Hey, man. I just saw Every Little Step at a movie house near Seattle. You were wonderful. I have led many encounter groups and you are the first actor (film or stage) who reflected the deep sense of personal anguish and transcendence that seemed as authentic as what one experiences in a group. So thank you. Oh, and best to get out of Soaps as soon a you can. I wouldn't want you deaden your capacity for authenticity. You are capable of touching a live (or film) audience in an extraordinary way right now.

07.08.09
Hi Jason, have you seen the finished product of the Soap Net Summer Nights promo? I saw it on-line today at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OImn82ZmZHM So funny/cool! =)

After my daughter was in her John Jay HS production of A Chorus LIne this spring we went to see "Every Little Step" . I have to tell you that I was completely blown away by your audition for Paul!!!! I watch you everyday on OLTL and only know you as Markko. After seeing you in this movie, I see what a fantastic actor you are. Your audition scene made us all cry, it was beautiful! I only wish I saw you do it on Broadway.
Please keep up the good work, and Iook forward to seeing your work for many years to come!!!!!

Thanks for all your effort!

Dear Mr. Tam:

I’ve just seen the documentary “Every Little Step”—your rendition of Paul’s monologue in your audition scene was one of those electrifying moments that make live theater so rewarding (but that occur much less often in film) and I wanted to express my gratitude to you for it. Everyone in the audience I was part of was profoundly moved, and in fact, most of us were, like the panel you were in front of, in tears, or at least pretty choked up. You gave an extraordinary, deeply felt performance that resonated far beyond the screen.

I was a bit surprised, therefore, not to find any mention of the film on your website. And although I enjoyed the film very much, it seemed to me that the filmmakers chose to follow the auditions for several of the women’s parts in detail, while covering only one of the men’s parts—Paul. Given the power of your performance, I would have hoped to have learned, either from the film or on your website, something of how you prepared for the audition both technically (which presumably would have been an aspect of your education at Tisch) and emotionally (the source of your gifts as an actor).

My wife’s a writer and I’m a musician (and our son is a playwright) so we know something of the struggles an artist encounters in fashioning his or her work, especially at the outset of a career. From the information on your website, I gather you’re well beyond that stage now, but I’m guessing you must have drawn on your early experiences to inform the character you created in that scene. I hope you’ll get the chance to do a lot more legit theater as well as some substantial, challenging film roles, and I’ll look forward to seeing you in them.

Best regards,

Paul Machlin

I saw "Every Little Step." The movie was great and so were you. I have watched OLTL for over 30 years, and you are one of the best characters they've had. Congratulations on your success.

I love the way he is a very good Actor..Keep it up ok

06.14.09
Several years ago, when I saw your performance (the monologue) in the NYC revival of Chorus Line....I cried. Yesterday I went to see the movie Every Little Step, and when I watched the brief clip of your monologue.....I cried again. I live in Rhode Island and work at a major theater for touring productions and I go to NYC frequently to attend the theater. I have seen hundreds of musical productions and Chorus Line is one of my all-time favorites. As a gay man, your performance as Paul in Chorus Line is the most emotionally moving performance I have ever seen. Thank you!

06.11.09
Dear Jason,

Just wanted to let you know that I saw the documentary Every Little Step today and was blown away by your amazing performance of John. Dear God. You have an amazing talent! I was deeply moved and impressed. I hope some day to see you live and in person. :-)

Best of luck to you in all of your endeavors!

-Mimi

Dear Jason: I had the pleasure of seeing "Every Little Step" today. I was lucky to have seen the ACL revival at the Curran Theatre in SF and then later in NYC. I thoroughly enjoyed the film, especially you, Deidre and Chryssie (who always seemed to be bumping into the camera). Your audition piece before the producers was poignant and heartbreaking. Like the judges, I too had tears streaming down my face. Anyway, continued good luck on OLTL. Sincerely, Roman Castillo Jr. 47 in Austin, Texas

06.06.09
I just saw you in Every Little Step and (like many many others I'm sure) I'm completely inspired and moved by you. Thank you for reminding me why I act and pursue such an illogical dream. I hope that my work will one day connect with others the way your acting connected with me. Congratulations on all of your success! You are so deserving!

Sincerely,
Eugenia Chen

06.05.09
Hi Jason,

Went to see Every Little Step after work and was overwhelmed by the clips of all the actors/dancers auditioning for the revival of A Chorus Line. Your audition was so natural yet profound. The whole audience was weeping. It pulled at the heart strings. That performance burns in my mind. Thank you for a womnderful performance.

Cheers,

Hi. Markko is great on the show. I really hope he gets a bigger story soon. It was awesome seeing Markko before the prom and after. Langston and Markko are an amazing couple! Do you still get your fan mail at the studios? I was just wondering if it takes long. Thanks.
Danielle.

05.31.09
We just saw Every little step and your monolouge was absolutely stellar! We are sorry we missed your performance in the Rival...

I produce a fundraising event in Santa Barbara, CA for www.dreamfoundation.org We've had everyone from Jordin Sparks to Kenny Loggins perform and a long list of others, if you'd ever consider lending your voice to our cause, we'd be honored. Best!

Hi Jason,

i just saw "Every Little Step' this afternoon. Your audition as Paul was absolutely amazing and very moving. I was just as moved in the movie theater as I was when I saw you on Broadway. I also appreciate the handwritten postcard you sent me in response to the letter I wrote to you after seeing you in the Broadway production of A Chorus Line.

I hope all is well with you.

Sincerely,

Carl Cavaliere

05.20.09
i love your acting on one life to live

05.13.09
Saw "Every Little Step" yesterday. Just wanted to commend you on that audition scene. It was incredible!! Haven't been able to see "Chorus Line" revival, since I live in L.A., but now know I am missing an incredible performance. I saw the original back in '78 in New York, but, from the looks of it I bet it can compare. Thanks again for your performance and I hope great things will follow for you.

05.13.09
I just saw "Every Little Step" tonight. Your audition was devistating. It was the climax of the film. I've never cared for that monologue, but your performance (it can't be called an audition) was terrifically moving.

You're the top.

Sincerely,
Todd
San Diego, CA

05.09.09
No need to reply. I just saw you in "Every Little Step" and thought you were brilliant. Had to find out where you studied, et al. Great job. Hope you'll keep your website updated, so your [new] fans can see where you're working and attend performances! Hope to see you work on the stage one day (or again on the big screen).

Hi jason, Last night I saw Every Little Step - and just like Bob Avian and the rest of his casting staff, I was so moved to tears by your audition for A Chorus Line. You were so great, have so much talent, and while I didn't see the revival, I was so happy to get to Lincoln Plaza Cinemas to see this documentary of the show I saw as a 10 year old in 1982.. Wishing you the best of luck, and rising to the top wiki wiki! -Rachel
