Jason Tam

Jason Tam: Growing up in the Hawaiian islands, Jason enjoyed soccer, basketball, volleyball, playing the piano, hiking, surfing and out rigger canoe paddling. But nothing thrilled him more than being on stage! He started performing when he was nine years old and hasn't stopped since.

By the time Jason graduated from high school he had established an impressive resume which included the Broadway and National Touring Companies of Les Miserables, as well as many local productions in Hawaii.

He then went on to study acting at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where he attended CAP 21 (NYU's musical theatre conservatory), the Experimental Theatre Wing and the Classical Studio.

After graduating and receiving his BFA with honors, Jason performed at various regional theatre's including the Guthrie Theatre, Sacramento Music Circus, and Casa Manana, until an ironic twist of fate brought him back home to Hawaii when he booked the role of Kurt "Shoe" Shoemaker on the TV series "Beyond the Break" on The-N.

After his brief return to the islands he was beckoned back to NY to originate the role of Paul in the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line. He's now excited and honored to be a part of Llanview, where he plays Markko Rivera on "One Life to Live".
